With its low rainfall, Namibia is generally good to visit all year round.  Rain fall can be expected between the months of December to March but it’s generally localized, afternoon thunderstorms.  The winter months of June to August are generally pleasant during the day but very cold to freezing at night, especially in some desert areas.  These are generally also considered the best months to visit Etosha as animals congregate around available water resources.  The summer months between November and April are especially good for bird watching.

Etosha Village is situated on the doorstep of the famous Etosha National Park and a great base from which to explore the majestic Park. It is home to lions, elephants, black rhinos, oryx and zebras to name a few of the many species.   The vast salt flat of Etosha pan is a breeding ground for flamingos.  Located in a private reserve directly adjacent to Etosha’s Andersson gate, amongst spectacular green and gold Mopani forests, Etosha Village offers a great safari experience and warm hospitality to guests.  Enjoy exciting game viewing during the day and then relax at the Lodge’s facilities which includes a choice of three restaurant seating areas, sparkling swimming pools and well stocked utility and curio shops.
