Historically the best game viewing is during the dry months when water becomes scarce resulting in game clustering around waterholes, generally from May to September.  The rains normally start from around October which turns the bushveld into a green paradise.  This makes game viewing difficult but the abundance of bird life, baby animals and predators make up for this.
