  • Best time to travel

Zambia predominantly has a wet (starting from November till April) and dry season (from around May to October) instead of summer and winter due to its sub tropical climate.  Most travelers prefer to visit towards the end of the wet season when the Falls are at their peak and the wildlife prolific.  During the dry season the Falls may dry up on the Zambian side and visitors will need to cross to the Zimbabwean for Fall viewing.

Located on the banks of the Zambezi River at one of its widest points, Royal Zambezi Lodge is a luxury property within the Chiawa Game Management area which neighbors the larger Lower Zambezi National Park.  It overlooks the famous Mana Pools World Heritage Site of Zimbabwe.  It’s a striking combination of style and comfort in a pristine bush environment.  The Royal Zambezi Lodge offers a great variety of activities, both on land and on the water in the company of qualified and enthusiastic guides, thanks to its beautiful location on the river banks.  Both bird and wildlife abound in the riverine ecosystem which makes it a photographer’s paradise.  With only 30 guests in house at a time, visitors can be assured of personal attention, great service and uncrowded activities in this beautifully remote part of Zambia.
