Day 10 – 13
Take in the sights and sounds of the Mozambique countryside as you sit back and enjoy a scenic road transfer from Tofo to Vilanculos. The trip takes approximately 3.5 hours and winds its way up the coast through local villages. Once in Vilanculos you will be met by the Anantara representative for your boat transfer across to Bazaruto Island, the largest island in the Bazaruto Archipelago.
Explore two of the best local dive sites with knowledgeable, qualified guides. Just five minutes away, Neptunes Reef is a haven for trigger, lion and crocodile fish, alongside octopus and honeycomb eel, with a maximum depth of five metres making it ideal for beginners.
Two Mile is a long stretch of pristine coral reefs. The northern side is abundant in colorful coral, while the southern side is flatter and sandier with a good chance of seeing big rays. The underwater life around is amazingly varied, with 75% of the Indian Ocean reef fish having been spotted here, 7 different kind of rays, reef sharks, turtles and more. The best part is that you will not see anybody else underwater and the only bubbles you will see will be from your fellow divers in your group (max 6 divers). Come and explore the fascinating world below the waves. Explore the famous Two Mile Reef – a Turtle lover’s paradise.
Enjoy four nights at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa on a fully inclusive basis with two dives.
Day 14
Enjoy the last sights and sounds of island life before making your way back to Vilanculos by boat. A short road transfer will have you at Vilanculos Airport from where you will fly back to Johannesburg.
