  • Best time to travel

Historically the best game viewing is during the dry months when water becomes scarce resulting in game clustering around waterholes.  In the Timbavati this will generally be from May to September.  The rains normally start from around October which turns the bushveld into a green paradise.  This makes game viewing difficult but the abundance of bird life, baby animals and predators make up for this.

Seek adventure in the bush as you venture out on a game viewing excursion. Bush walks, game drives and an overnight stay at the Giraffe’s Nest will maximize your view of the bush and its wildlife.  Your private bush snuggery within the Greater Kruger National Park, Geiger’s Camp is the proud new addition to Motswari Private Game Reserve. Perched on a ridge with panoramic views of Big Five terrain, this luxury safari camp fuses tasteful elegance with historic, rustic charm.  The camp has been transformed into an exclusive luxury safari camp from its original role as a family home with personal touches seen in the owner’s own art work adorning the walls.  With only four suites, Geiger’s Camp is perfect for family bookings that would like to have exclusivity and privacy whilst on safari.

Giraffe’s Nest is an overnight stay in a treehouse overlooking Xanatsi Dam. A comfortably decorated suite invites visitors for a night of magic of stargazing on the viewing deck.  Morning and evening game drives venture out into the Timbavati Nature Reserve where possible sightings of the Big Five can be encountered.  Trained and experienced guides share their passion and knowledge with the passengers during the drives.
