Mequfi Beach Resort is the newest addition to the luxury beach resort offering in Mozambique.  Situated south of Pemba, the resort is nestled in a beautiful, natural landscape.  There are forty Deluxe Rooms built as twin bungalows as well as ten spacious Suites with preferred settings overlooking the beach.  Each room and suite has a large private veranda and seating.  The Resort offers guests the choice between booking their stay on either a Half Board (breakfast and dinner) or All Inclusive basis (full meal plan served at the Assinatura or Brisa do Mar Restaurant, soft drinks, water, juice, house wine, local beer, coffee and tea during meals and at the bar as per schedule; mini-bar service in the room with soft drinks, water and local beer; snacks offered during the day at the Brisa do Mar Restaurant)

Deluxue Rooms

The fourty Deluxe rooms (twenty adjoining) are situated within easy walking distance of the beach.  All the rooms feature modern styling and finishings with a private terrace.  There is a choice of king size bed or two single beds with mosquito nets, sofa bed for young children, air conditioning, flat screen television, large en suite bathrooms, tea & coffee and mini bar facilities.

Beach Suites

The ten Suites all have prime locations near the beach.  They also feature an additional separate living room and large terrace overlooking the sea.  The suites all have modern finishing’s and contemporary styling.  Air conditioning, flat screen television, mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities, large bathrooms and comfortable sofas ensure that guests are comfortable during their stay.

Dining

Variety and choice is not just limited to your menu but also the dining locations at Mequfi Beach Resort.  Assinatura Restaurant is Set on an elevated deck, with a spectacular view over the swimming pool and the entire resort.  It serves sumptuous American breakfast buffets daily.  In addition, there is a lunch and dinner menu offering international dishes and local specialties. Brisa do Mar Serves snacks and freshly baked pizza by the pool.  For a special treat, Sea You Restaurant (at charge) is open for dinner and delights dinners with a seafood fusion menu in a refined and peaceful ambiance. Bela Baia Bar Located near the swimming pool serves refreshing drinks, cocktails, wine and beer.

Activities

Guests will be kept entertained with the choice of activities on offer.  From catamaran sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoes and stand-up paddling, cart sailing, fat bikes, aqua gym, there is something for everyone to enjoy.  Snorkeling, scuba diving and whale watching tours can be arranged and offered in the area. The Mvua African Rain Spa offers a variety of massages, treatments and facials.

What we think of it

A value-for-money luxury resort for those wanting to enjoy beach activities and are not focused on diving per se. Meal times are an international culinary adventure.
