• 6 Days Three Countries Discovery Tour

    Guided Scheduled Departures Tour

Itinerary

Day 1 & 2

Meet your guide at the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport at 10h00 for the tour departure. The tour starts on a high note with a half day game drive through the Kruger National Park. It is one of Africa’s largest and most renowned game reserves. The high density of wild animals includes the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. Hundreds of other mammals make their home here, as do diverse bird species such as vultures, eagles and storks. Mountains, bush plains and tropical forests are all part of the landscape.

Arrive late afternoon at your overnight accommodation, the recently renovated Muluwa Lodge, situated on Likweti Bushveld Estate near the Kruger National Park.

On Day 2 depart early morning for an extensive full day game drive in the Kruger Park with your guide. Today you will have amble opportunity to enjoy the rich game and bird life, as well as the diverse landscapes that the Kruger National Park is renowned for. During the drive courtesy stops will be made along the way at rest camps and / or picnic spots where you can stretch your legs and enjoy the sounds and smells of the bushveld around you before settling down for lunch under the indigenous trees. There is more game purported to exist in the southern part of the park so keep your cameras and binoculars ready.

Return late afternoon to Muluwa Lodge where you can relax and discuss the sightings of the day.

Enjoy two nights at Muluwa Lodge on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 3

After breakfast you will depart for the small, landlocked kingdom of Swaziland. The route is scenic with some beautiful, varied landscapes along the way to enjoy.  From magnificent mountains and waterfalls in the west to the lush valleys of the middle veld and the low-lying bushveld of the east, Swaziland is little jewel and ideal for nature enthusiasts.

En route stop overs will be made at Swaziland’s most popular attractions – such as the Ngwenya Glass Factory, local Swazi craft markets and the famous Swazi Candles. Marvel at the skilled local craftsmen plying their trade – from blowing glass the old-fashioned way to masterfully moulding wax to create the most intricate candles. Today is a great opportunity to buy curios and gifts for loved ones back home.

You will be staying at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in the Ezulwini Valley of central Swaziland. Its grassy southern plains are home to animals such as antelopes and zebras, as well as many birds.  Several trails and tracks suitable for horses and mountain bikes can be enjoyed on the reserve. Tonight’s accommodation is a unique Swazi cultural experience with accommodation booked in a traditional thatch and wood beehive hut. The beehive huts
are similar to the historical beehive shaped huts that local Swazi people lived in. The dome like constructions where made of grass over a frame of saplings. The huts were ideally suited to the climate of Swaziland – providing warmth in winter and coolness in the warm summers.

Enjoy one night at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 4-5

Depart for the third country in your itinerary – Mozambique. The country is one of Southern Africa’s rising tourism destinations with its extended coastline of over 2500 kms. Water sport activities are the most popular with scuba diving, snorkelling and deep sea fishing enthralling visitors. Your guide will drive from Swaziland to Maputo, the bustling capitol city of Mozambique. Depending on the boat departure time for the lodge, a short sightseeing tour of the cosmopolitan city will be done to view places of interest such as the Railway Station, old Fort, Steel House built by Eiffel and many more.

Depart from the Maputo Marina by boat for your beach destination. Machangulo Beach Lodge is situated on the peninsula directly opposite Inhaca Island. The boat ride is approximately 60 – 90 minutes long and some wading may be required on arrival at the Lodge.

Machangulo Beach Lodge offers breath taking views over the channel and Inhaca Island from its location up on the dunes. Enjoy a variety of activities on offer ranging from superb deep sea fishing, snorkelling in the Inhaca Marine Reserve, kayaking in the mangroves to spa treatments. Or simply walk along endless, deserted beaches as you soak up the beauty of the area.

Enjoy two nights at Machangulo Beach Lodge on a Full Board basis (filtered drinking water in bottles, teas & coffees, selected juices, non-motorized activities such as kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, shore fishing and shore snorkelling).

Day 6

Sadly your holiday has come to an end. Enjoy the last of the ocean breezes through your hair during the boat transfer back to Maputo. From Maputo you can either connect to a regional flight back to OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) from Maputo Airport or enjoy the road transfer back to the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. End of trip.
