The best time to travel is largely dependent on what the visitor most wants to see and do.  The dry months from May to October are generally for game viewing.  There is generally very little rainfall and September to October is quite hot.  The Victoria Falls is best viewed when its in full flood which normally occurs in April and May.

One of the icons in the Zimbabwean hospitality offering – the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is well known amongst travelers to the area.  Located high on a plateau that forms a natural boundary to the unfenced Zambezi National Park, the lodge is situated only four kilometers away from the renowned Victoria Falls.  The lodge encompasses seven levels which gives it the feeling of an open plan tree house with spectacular views over the national park and a natural waterhole, providing excellent bird and game viewing throughout the day.  Spend an activity filled day in the Adventure Capitol of the Africa (Zimbabwe) before savoring fine fare from two of the country’s top restaurants located at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

Rooms & Suites

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers 72 rooms in total of which guests can select either Standard Rooms, Waterhole Facing Rooms or Suites.  All of the rooms have tea & coffee, complimentary wifi, en suite bathroom, mini bar and air conditioning.  The Standard Rooms each feature a balcony with views over the Zambezi National Park and are sunset facing.  The Waterhole Facing Room’s balcony has views overlooking the Park and the local waterhole and are sunset facing.  The suites have a duplex lay out with a sunken lounge and balcony enjoying views over the waterhole.

Enjoy traditional African safari fare and just the right atmosphere when dining at the award winning MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.  The split-level restaurant has views of the watering hole which is frequented by buffalo, elephant, warthog and antelope.  The sunset views are not to be missed.  Or for a more vibrant experience, book a table at the popular Boma for a Dinner & Drum Show.  Local dishes, traditional delicacies and game meat is served by friendly staff whilst you are entertained by traditional singers and dancers as well as the medicine man and traditional storyteller.

Apart from game viewing, bird watching, game walks and visits to the Victoria Falls, guests at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge can enjoy great photographic opportunities at the hide located next to the waterhole. The Vulture Culture Experience is also not to be missed.  An educational activity that focuses on the importance of raptors and scavengers in order to maintain a healthy environment, the experience is hosted daily in front of the Lodge.  Nearby activities include boat cruises, golf, historical tours, helicopter scenic flights and horse riding to name a few.
