Surrounded by indigenous bush on the banks of the Nhambavale Lake, Naara Eco Lodge & Spa is a luxury tented camp in a tranquil setting.  The expansive lake forms a picturesque backdrop to the Lodge.  Its also the source of entertainment for guests with swimming, fresh water fishing, kayaking and kite surfing to be enjoyed.  The lodge has a strong environmental ethos with 80% of its energy requirements derived from the sun.  It also focusses on responsible tourism through close working relationships with the local Inhandine community.

Safari Tents

Naara Eco Lodge & Spa offers ten beautifully furnished, luxurious safari tents overlooking the calm waters of the Nhambavale Lake.  The safari tents are located on permanent structures with large front doors so that guests may enjoy the lake view to its fullest.  Facilities include a large en suite bathroom, with outdoor shower, and private covered veranda with seating.
 

Dining

In line with its social responsibility, Naara Lodge focusses on having their kitchen supplied by locally or regionally grown, organic vegetables and fruits.  Seafood is purchased from the local community to ensure the freshest ingredients as well a source of income for the subsistence fishermen.  The Bed and Breakfast rate includes an early morning tea or coffee and fresh baked muffin delivered to the tent to enjoy on you private veranda.  A full breakfast can be enjoyed later at the main restaurant.

Activities

There are endless choices of activities to enjoy – catering for young and old.  Aside from the watersport to be enjoyed on the lake, Chidenguele beach is approximately 2 kms from the lodge.  Here guests can enjoy snorkeling, kite surfing, whale watching and fishing.  The lodge has shade and chairs available on the beach for guests’ comfort.  Other activities that can be arranged include deep sea fishing, horse riding and visits to the local community. The open air Spa offers a variety of massages and treatments to relax and rejuvenate tired muscles.
